Service Description
16 weeks is a long time to train using the same zones. You are training to get more fit after all! By updating your zones regularly, you are ensuring your training is optimized and you continue to progress toward your goals. Set your zones with your first test, train based on the results of where you are today, then check your progress and set updated training zones with a second test to get you dialed in for racing. We'll talk about your current training and goals, explain the testing process, answer questions, then start the test. After the test, we'll discuss your results and how you can implement it into your training. We will provide you all the data from your test, individualized training zones, a few sample workouts to incorporate, and a write up of our discussion. The athlete runs for 40-50 minutes. The intensity increases in 5 min intervals. With each level, there is a drop of blood that goes into an analyzer for a blood lactate concentration value. Heart rate and RPE are also recorded. After your first test, we'll talk about timing for your second test and get you scheduled a few weeks out. Both tests include Body Composition Analysis.
